The Michelin Commander II Motorcycle Tyre is the tyre solution for all types of cruisers! The expertise gained from working with Harley-Davidson on their range of Scorcher tyres went into the Commander II.
The Michelin Commander II Motorcycle Tyre is able to offer excellent handling and stability by using Michelin’s Amplified Density Technology (ADT). A highly dense, more rigid Tyre casing which helps to deliver excellent feedback and handling. Aramid tread plies on the Rear Tyre resist centrifugal growth, reduce weight and provide excellent stability - offering total performance of handling.
The Tyre has been made using a high-density, rigid Carcass which is geared towards handling and feedback. The upper layers of the Carcass are made from Aramid Fibres on the Rear Tyre, bringing together durability and light-weight materials for perfect stability, even when riding at high speeds. As a result, the Rear Tyre from this range has a life expectancy of approx. 25,000 miles. This is according to tests carried out in the United States by an independent body, Texas Test Fleet (900 N. Transportation Devine, TX. 78016), in March-April 2011, on public roads with the following sizes: 130/80 B17 (front) and 180/65 B16 (rear).
The Tyre has a longitudinal tread pattern which allows for excellent grip in both wet and dry riding conditions, as the tread is able to cut through standing water on the road surface. This Tyre has a distinctive Tread Pattern and patented premium touch technology on the sidewall design. This touch technology creates a contrast by light absorption via a micro geometry on the tyre surface and allows to modulate the contrast and create shades of grey.
